Job Role

As Store Manager – Senior Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining inventory at the solar project site, ensuring the timely availability of materials, optimizing stock levels, and preventing shortages or excesses. The role involves coordinating with procurement, vendors, and project teams to ensure smooth site operations while maintaining compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management & Control
    • Maintain accurate records of materials, tools, and equipment at the project site.
    • Ensure proper storage, handling, and issuance of materials to site teams.
    • Monitor stock levels and raise requisitions to prevent shortages.
  • Material Procurement & Coordination
    • Work closely with the procurement team and vendors to ensure timely material deliveries.
    • Verify incoming materials for quality, quantity, and compliance with specifications.
    • Coordinate with project teams to ensure materials are available as per project schedules.
  • Store Operations & Documentation
    • Maintain proper documentation of stock movements, receipts, and consumption.
    • Implement systematic storage practices to optimize space and accessibility.
    • Ensure accurate tagging and labelling of materials for easy identification.
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Ensure materials are stored as per industry standards and safety guidelines.
    • Conduct periodic audits to check for expired, damaged, or obsolete materials.
    • Enforce proper documentation for material usage and wastage tracking.
  • Safety & HSE Compliance
    • Adhere to safety regulations and ensure safe storage practices.
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures for hazardous materials.
    • Train site teams on safe handling and storage procedures.
  • Reporting & Coordination
    • Generate regular inventory reports for the Manager and Corporate Office.
    • Identify discrepancies and report them promptly for corrective actions.
    • Collaborate with the finance and accounts team for material reconciliation.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of store and inventory management.
  • Familiar with the tools like Microsoft Excel, SAP etc.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Familiarity with solar project materials and site operations.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders effectively.
  • Understanding of quality control and safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Educational Requirement: B.E./B. Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
  • Experience Requirement: 3-4 years of experience in store and inventory management, preferably in a solar EPC or construction project.
  • Travelling: He should be ready to Travel if required for Business purposes.
  • Language: English, Gujarati & Hindi would be preferable

Preferred Candidate: Male Candidates would be preferable
