Signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Gujarat for Fuel Cell and Electrolyser Manufacturing during the Vibrant Gujarat 2024 Summit.
In a landmark development, Advait emerged as one of the winners in SECI’s 1.5 GW electrolyser manufacturing auction. Competing alongside industry giants like Reliance Green Hydrogen, ACME Cleantech Solutions, and Bharat Petroleum Corporation, Advait secured an allocated capacity of 100 MW.
SECI’s tender invited proposals under two pathways:
Allocating 410,000 MT/year of green hydrogen production capacity.
Allocating 40,000 MT/year.
Advait’s participation in this initiative underscores its commitment to building a strong domestic manufacturing ecosystem for electrolysers, aligned with India’s goal of achieving 5 million tons of green hydrogen production annually by 2030
Advait’s success continued with its victory in the Tranche-II SECI PLI auction, where the company was allocated an additional 200 MW of electrolyser manufacturing capacity. This significant expansion reflects Advait’s ambition to scale its operations and solidify its leadership in the green hydrogen value chain.
With this allocation, Advait is set to play a transformative role in meeting India’s renewable energy targets, supporting industries transitioning to sustainable operations, and reducing the reliance on imported electrolyser technology.
Advait’s advancements in electrolyser manufacturing open up a wide range of opportunities for the company and India’s energy sector:
Contributing to the production of 5 MTPA of green hydrogen, reducing dependence on fossil fuels and supporting industrial decarbonization.
Strengthening India’s self-reliance in electrolyser technology, reducing import dependency, and fostering indigenous innovation.
Supporting industries like steel, ammonia, and refining to transition to cleaner operations.
The success in PLI Tranche-I and II positions Advait Energy Transitions Limited as a pivotal player in India’s green hydrogen ecosystem. By leveraging its 300 MW electrolyser manufacturing capacity, Advait is ready to meet the rising demand for electrolysers, driven by increasing investments in green hydrogen projects across the country.
